facial waxing

after care

First 24–48 Hours

To reduce irritation and protect freshly waxed skin, avoid:

  • Hot showers, steam, saunas, or hot tubs

  • Direct sun exposure or tanning beds

  • Makeup on waxed areas (especially foundation or powders)

  • Sweating or intense workouts

  • Touching, picking, or rubbing the skin

  • Exfoliants, retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, or active skincare products

  • Fragranced or alcohol-based products

Daily Care

Keep the skin calm and balanced:

  • Cleanse gently with a mild, fragrance-free cleanser

  • Apply a soothing, non-comedogenic moisturizer

  • Keep hands off the face to prevent irritation or bacteria transfer

  • Use sunscreen daily to protect sensitive post-wax skin

Preventing Irritation & Breakouts

After 48 hours:

  • Lightly exfoliate 2–3 times per week to prevent ingrowns

  • Continue hydrating the skin daily

  • Avoid heavy, pore-clogging makeup for a couple of days if possible

  • Use calming ingredients like aloe vera or chamomile if needed

Important Reminders

  • Mild redness or sensitivity is completely normal and should subside within a few hours

  • Small bumps or slight breakouts can occur as the skin adjusts

  • Avoid over-exfoliating, especially in the first few days

For best results, schedule facial waxing every 3–4 weeks depending on hair growth.
